FAQ ABOUT KITE FOIL LESSONS

What is kite foiling?

It's simply kiteboarding with the addition of a hydrofoil under the board. The foil allows you to kite along above the surface of the water. Kite foiling is speedier, as the foil cuts through the water with minimal drag. Foil fans love the quiet experience of riding along elevated above the surface of the water.

Is kite foiling harder than kiteboarding?

Learning to kite foil is not that difficult, compared to kiteboarding or windsurfing. If you already know how to kiteboard or kitesurf with a directional board will make the process a lot faster. Choose the right board, mast, and foil setup, and you can be up and riding within a few hours or a few days of practice.

How long does it take to learn to kite foil?

Kite foiling is a fun and exciting water sport that combines the use of a foil board with a kite. While learning to kite foil may seem daunting, with dedication and proper instruction, most people can become independent within 6 - 12 hours.

What is the difference between kite foil and wing foil?

Kite foilers can get flying on the foil in lighter wind than wing foilers. An average kite foiler is comfortable riding around in less than 10 knots, whereas a wing foiler will struggle in less than 15 knots. At the other end of the wind range, wing foils are easier to handle in strong winds.
